Moreton Men recorded their first ever victory with a late 2-1 win over Bury Wanderers.
An even lively first half saw very little major chances of note, other than Alfie Hardiman heading a good free-kick just wide of the far post.
At the other end, debutant goalkeeper Nick Gordejevs was on hand to tip over a fierce strike from outside the box.
It was the home side who arguably deservedly broke the deadlock in the second half, a good through-ball released Dexter Lee (55') clear on goal, whose attempted dink over the onrushing goalkeeper was well denied by the stopper, though Lee made sure to turn home into the open net.
Wanderers however equalised, albeit harsh on the hosts as a left wing free-kick was flicked into the net by the head of the unfortunate Sheps.
The hosts went close to restoring their lead though, a big save from the advancing keeper thwarted Lee, but was unable to prevent Jacob Malpass from restoring the lead on 75 minutes.
A corner in was flicked onto Malpass, who was unmarked, to cleverly flick home into the gaping right-hand corner from close range.
A key late save from the keeper prevented the goalscorer from netting a late game sealing third, as Moreton Men stoutly saw out the final ten minutes to secure an important, hard fought victory.
