Moreton Hall Ferals hit their club rivals Moreton Hall 96 for 7 goals as Keiran Twinn helped himself to five goals, to make him Ferals' top scorer in 2020-21 with nine goals.
As the scoreline suggests, Ferals looked dangerous throughout - whilst 96 did create some good chances, albeit not taking many of them.
By the half-time whistle, Ferals already looked home and hosed at four goals to the good - evidently proving to the case as they got off to the perfect start from their perspective.
Great team play enabled Charlie Glover to deliver a dangerous ball into the box, finding Jake Peasgood in acres of space at the back post, whose volley back across the penalty area fell on a plate for Kieran Twinn to guide the ball home into the roof of the net from close range, 1-0 Ferals after just 9 minutes.
It was almost 2-0 to Ferals on 14 minutes, a great low cross from Jake Peasgood picked out Callum Dove close to goal, but the latter's shot went just wide into the side netting.
That lead was then doubled just seconds later however, the aforementioned Peasgood this time curled a low and dangerous free-kick round the wall towards goal, beating the keeper albeit not the inside of the post - where Twinn was on hand from two yards out to tap home with the simplest of ease into an empty net.
Ferals continued to maintain the pressure on their rivals' goal meanwhile on 18 minutes, after Twinn's cross couldn't quite find Peasgood in the penalty area - an on-rushing Ben Newdick was unable to keep his shot down, as the shot sailed narrowly over the crossbar.
Two minutes later though, George Crowe then embarked on a mazy run through into the penalty area, but shot over the top right-hand corner from an acute angle.
Shortly after, some audacious Ferals play saw the home side go close to extending their lead further.
A brilliant one-two between Brandon Salisbury and Jake Peasgood saw the ball returned round the corner of the defender back to Salisbury, through on goal, who attempted to volley down into the ground and past the advancing keeper, though the ball bounced kindly for the outstretched keeper to stand firm and smother well.
At the other end, Ferals were let off the hook after a ball through the defence released a 96 man through in the box, but whilst his shot beat the advancing Elliott Frost-Palmer, the ball flew over the crossbar on 25 minutes.
The away side then arguably could have halved the deficit once again a minute later, after a dangerous cross in was controlled well by a man through inside the box, the shot went harmlessly wide of the bottom corner from close range.
Ferals however responded to those chances by hitting the woodwork, Salisbury's close range poke at goal rebounding back into play off the inside of the post safely for a defender to hack the ball clear on 32 minutes.
Ten minutes before the break though, Ferals added their third goal of the game. George Crowe's cross was flapped away by the goalkeeper as far as Kieran Twinn, who completed his hat-trick by ruthlessly volleying home from 12-yards out into the unguarded net.
A minute before the interval however, Ferals put the result effectively beyond doubt as Craig Defew notched his second goal in as many games.
The defender was alert to be first to Jake Peasgood's spilt shot, from just outside the box, to tap home from point blank range, 4-0 Ferals at the break.
Ferals went close to a fifth goal however, just three minutes after the restart, as George Crowe's left-wing cross ended up going dangerously just over the crossbar and onto the roof of the net via the wind.
At the other end though three minutes later, stand-in goalkeeper Elliott Frost-Palmer was forced into a good save to deny Moreton Hall 96 from grabbing a consolation goal - punching away a curling free-kick, which was dipping dangerously towards goal.
A minute later though, the visitors did grab a goal back, taking the advantage of a loose ball to guide home into the bottom corner from close range, 4-1.
Ferals then went agonisingly close to restoring their four goal lead on 58 minutes, Brandon Salisbury dragging his half volley on the turn just wide of the bottom corner.
On the hour mark, a goal-line clearance then denied the home side from adding a fifth goal. A ball lifted over the defence towards Callum Dongray needed dealing with by the keeper, who had came off his line, though his interception only fell as far as Dongray who lifted his shot over the 'keeper well. His attempt though was headed off the line vitally by a well placed defender, just ahead of the line.
Three minutes later though, Ferals added a well worked goal to restore their four goal advantage. A brilliant long ball from Taylor Waterson was nodded on by Brandon Salisbury onto Kieran Twinn, who, from distance, instinctively volleyed a rocket of a shot, which dipped audaciously into the bottom right-hand corner.
In quickfire fashion, Ferals were 7-1 in the space of the following nine minutes - Brandon Salisbury netting his first Ferals goal by heading home into the bottom right-hand corner, 6-1 after 65 minutes.
Kieran Twinn rounded off his scoring spree with his fifth goal of the game, guiding home Ben Newdick's superb cross into the box - despite the keeper being unable to keep it out, 7-1.
Goalscorer Salisbury meanwhile had a great chance to add his second goal of the game with 11 minutes remaining, after cutting inside into the penalty area his shot went inches wide of the bottom corner.
The hosts would not let up though, going close twice in a matter of seconds to adding an eighth goal on 81 minutes. After Charlie Glover intercepted a pass deep in the visitors' half, the winger's shot was straight at the keeper - with the goal virtually at his mercy - whilst Billy Peck's rebound strike from close range was blocked well by a defender just ahead of the goal-line.
George Crowe then went close to extending his side's lead four minutes later. The left-back's volley requiring the keeper to punch the attempt away on his goal-line, after the visiting defence failed to deal properly with Jake Peasgood's cross.
Just before stoppage time, Peasgood then caused more havoc for the visiting defence, this time squaring across dangerously to Brandon Salisbury running in at the back post - though his first time shot was well saved by the foot of tje diving keeper.
A minute into stoppage time, the away side did grab a second consolation goal - after a well taken free-kick was headed home from close range into the top corner.
Ferals continue their fine unbeaten league record, whilst their club rivals are yet to register a league win this season.
